stronghold prayer nights

monthly worship nights

Our prayer nights are an invitation to grow in intimacy with the Lord through teaching, worship, and the sacraments. Prayer nights are centred on the adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, with time for talks, prayer ministry and confession, so that we can receive the healing and encouragement we need to thrive in our daily lives.

But the hour is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.
john 2:24

The Lord is seeking us, and our hearts long for him. We find Him, and he finds us, in worship. When we worship Him, we come into His Presence and allow him to change us, and we reveal His presence to those around us. We come into communion with God and with those around us. Much of our Stronghold Nights are given over to worship as a road towards intimacy with the Father, a road home.

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
john 2:24

At Stronghold, we strive to put Jesus at the literal centre of everything we do. Jesus in the Eucharist is present from the outset of each prayer night. We place Him on an altar we call the Burning Bush in the centre of the room. Jesus remains present with us for three hours while we pour our hearts out to Him.
We look at Him and He looks at us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

We are called to repent and believe the good news. true conversion looks like be washed clean in the blood of the lamb. Confession is one of the most beautiful parts of our faith. These intimate conversations with our beloved priests allow us to meet God in the most incredible way. In confession, we let god examine and know us once more; we meet the god who sees us, the god that rejoices over us and loves us in our brokeness.

prayer ministry

where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Matthew 18:20

We offer prayer ministry as we pray and adore the lord. This often happens after we give a teaching to invite the spirit to come deep into our hearts. Many people experience great peace and meet god in a new way when they let others pray over them and for them.
