The Lord is seeking us, and our hearts long for him. We find Him, and he finds us, in worship. When we worship Him, we come into His Presence and allow him to change us, and we reveal His presence to those around us. We come into communion with God and with those around us. Much of our Stronghold Nights are given over to worship as a road towards intimacy with the Father, a road home.
At Stronghold, we strive to put Jesus at the literal centre of everything we do. Jesus in the Eucharist is present from the outset of each prayer night. We place Him on an altar we call the Burning Bush in the centre of the room. Jesus remains present with us for three hours while we pour our hearts out to Him.
We look at Him and He looks at us.
We are called to repent and believe the good news. true conversion looks like be washed clean in the blood of the lamb. Confession is one of the most beautiful parts of our faith. These intimate conversations with our beloved priests allow us to meet God in the most incredible way. In confession, we let god examine and know us once more; we meet the god who sees us, the god that rejoices over us and loves us in our brokeness.
We offer prayer ministry as we pray and adore the lord. This often happens after we give a teaching to invite the spirit to come deep into our hearts. Many people experience great peace and meet god in a new way when they let others pray over them and for them.
Our Glasgow Prayer Nights run from 7-10PM and are hosted in the heart of Glasgow's University campus at Turnbull Hall, Glasgow, G12 8LG.
"I had a huge experience with the Holy Spirit and encountered the saving touch of Jesus. This just showed me how much God wanted to meet me, yet He was not imposing or controlling."
